Jagge: Sounds a bit like my favourite training. I don't know what you call it, it goes like this:

You have partner, a course with short legs (~300 m) and 2-3 streamers. One starts first, runs fast and puts two first controls and stops at the third one, turns stopwatch on and waits. The other starts 2 min after the the first runner, runs fast and collects the controls. At the third control he/she meets the parner and hears time difference and hands streamers over. First one goes on again and the other one waits again 2 mins etc. At the halfway roles are changed.

You get nice 700-1000 m O intervals with about 2 min rest in between. Putting controls fast is the best part. You have nice pressure - your friend is right behind chasing you and you have to be able to put controls right straight away, no time for checking anything. If your friend catches you or you missplace a controls - you will hear about it. You have to have good map contact and nice flow, or you'll be eaten.

Easy to arrange, no-one has to put/collect controls for you.

Do you know a name for this training?

BorisGr: No, i don't know the standard name, but it sounds good. You should add it to the workout archive!
