Discussion: Fundraising Roundtable

Janet Porter and I will be hosting a Fundraising Roundtable at the OUSA Convention. We plan to throw all kinds of ideas around about how to bring in funds for all OUSA initiatives, including the national Teams program. We'd love your input now if you can't be at the discussion at the convention. Think outside the box. Be creative. Positive, helpful suggestions only, please.

Following the Convention, we will be looking for people to join the Fundraising Committee to put ideas into action. We can't do this without your help, so step up and take a role in moving OUSA forward.

I am absolutely not sure if this is doable or if anyone would pay - I know I would love to have a DVD or access to a download of the convention sessions I was not able to attend, and would love to make a donation - one could have it similar to the CCOF way of a minimum, nice, huge donation,or the like. In addition, OUSA would be able to create a long term digital library of the presentations...

Set up a spectator-friendly sprint relay and auction junior/senior team members to run for "managers", who are the ones doing the bidding and assembling the teams.

Bragging rights for the manager who assembles the winning team, money for the team, and a social experience for everyone else after the main race of the day.

Seen this done twice for positive effect.
