| Samantha: | Impressive time improvement! :) |

| szurcher: | well... I think the time improvement is more because last winter there was a lot of ice (eventhough I wear spikes when there is ice), and because I was pushing a little harder than usual last night, I get creeped out running alone in the dark! |

| Ratlaf: | I've been running with a red tinted headlight, just one of those tiny LED things, and while the red light is enough to see the trail directly ahead of me, I can't really see much beyond that, so when there's suddenly a pair of eyes looking at me from the side of the trail, I usually freak out for a moment, until I realize it's just a deer, or the three foxes I saw last night... |

| j-man: | Why do you use a red tinted light?
I've thought about doing that when I have a map, because shining the headlamp on the map is not good for maintaining night vision, but never figured out a way to do it. I want to be able to see as far in the terrain as possible, so I always thought a bright white light was the way to go. |

| Ratlaf: | I use red to preserve night vision, this is definitely NOT the light to use when running in terrain, I use it on trails that I'm very familiar with, or are nice and smooth. |
