What event software works well for Relays?

Have been using Or for regular meets, will it do the job?

Autodownload works well, although you have to explicitly record starters in secondary mass starts. I haven't used Or for a relay competition, but looking at the relay interface, I couldn't see where you record the times of secondary mass starts, so this might be something you should check out. Or seems to import course variations correctly, which is useful if you use Condes to set your relay courses.

I tested OR the other night, and it seems that you have to either punch a start box or edit the runner's start time, if you are going out in the secondary mass start. This does give the option of having several make-up starts, and I would probably use start boxes to accommodate that.

Using a start punch is a solution, but possibly not so fair for those at the back of the bunch.

One obscure situation in which explicit recording of secondary mass starters would be useful is where IOF rule 24.7 is applicable "Teams taking part in mass starts for later legs are placed after all teams which have changed over and finished in the ordinary way." (but a software solution would be preferable).

for AutoDownload you can simply have people punch a check station (i.e. when they move into the start pen) and assign a mass start time to all those who punched it. easy.
