Calling all A-event Registrars and those involved in A-event registration!

Charlie Bleau (GAOC) and I (HVO/OCIN), with the help and support of Robin Shannonhouse (GAOC), are putting together a moderated, focused discussion group for A-event registrars and those directly involved in A-event registration in the US. In general, this would be a forum for A-event registrars to share information in the short run and develop best practices in the long run. We decided that this will be called RegistrarNet (highly original!). We would, at least for now, like to keep the membership to the following groups:

1. Those who have been, currently are, or have already volunteered to be a registrar for an OUSA-sanctioned A-event.
2. Those who have written an online or single computer registration program that has been used for an A-event by at least one person other than themselves.
3. Members of the OUSA web group who are developing an online registration system for the OUSA website.
4. Others that the moderators accept or feel that they would like to invite.

This is NOT a forum for trying to get the skinny on potential upcoming A-events. Rather, it is a tool to help registrars deal with the issues that arise in organizing their events. These might range from dealing with Interscholastic teams to generating start lists to handling late registrations. Rules will be simple and typical: Be respectful, focused and concise.

If you feel left out, don't be! Volunteer to be a registrar at an A-event!

Those that are interested and feel qualified, please contact Robin Shannonhouse by email at rshannonhouse [at] comcast [dot] net.
