Link to a 'Regional Map' with various bits of added info.

Is there any way to number or otherwise differentiate the symbols?

Ricka:
Click on symbol. Zoom in first as necessary.
Also, two sports bars near Wine Bar if any college or pro teams interest you.
Lots of fast food options on 47 in Troy.

What I meant is, is there any way to make each symbol unique, or at least just the ones that are clustered? Like on this map.

How about an ear of corn for the corn maze, or the Moon for the Night-O?

I think the Google Map is fine as is. There are stock icons in the Google Maps app, which is what the Boston folks are using. You can also create custom icons, like little orienteering flags or ears of corn, but you'd need to create the icons, put them on a server somewhere, and point to them.

Cool, thanks for the map - makes much more sense than the text directions from most other meets!

I'm gonna stop feeling bad about how much work you're doing for this meet if you've got time to redo a perfectly good google map that's been on the meet website for the last four months ;)

I didnt see it on the site...

Yeah, who would guess a locator map would be on the "Directions & Lodging" page?

bill_l:
Not I. But it would have been easier to spot if I'd looked at the site first. I was responding to a direct email inquiry wrt dining opts.

NOTE: Enter Cuivre River SP from MO-147 and Lincoln Hills Road. Follow the orienteering signs.

Google Maps may try to route you into Cuivre River State Park from the east on Walker Road and Overlook Drive. Overlook Drive is closed at the park boundary so this is not a valid option.

Frenchman's Bluff Road is closed for bridge repairs.

And coming in from the north via KK is also a non-starter (more bridge repairs). US-61 to MO-47 to MO-147 really is the only option right now.
