NSW Stinger: I feel for you buddy. I believe the test matches may be my testamonial series. Then i'll step down before i get the tap on the shoulder. Plan to write a book about the tour. Shame it won't be in stores for christmas.

blairtrewin: Are you planning to send someone a text advising of your retirement and then disappear to a mystery Pacific destination?

candyman: Ben, first: congrats on being elevated into the Bushrangers team, you deserve it. Make the most of the opportunity as I hope everybody else in the team does. This is the best International experience we can get short of World Cups and World Champs; second: Don't whinge about age that's not why you were reserve, its because you raced well below your potential in the second half of the year. Think about what you did and how you were thinking when we were racing overseas in 2000 and do that next year, then you will make the WOC team and make finals. Sorry I know you were just disappointed and I can see good reasons why but I don' t like reading about how age, running speed, perceived bias etc. are always to blame when usually it has much more to do with a failure to put results on the board.

Fat Rat: cheers candyman. i agree, still wish i was younger. you like the fact you are getting older?

#  Posted 2006-12-15 16:33:40
candyman: haha I know what you mean, I nearly didn't say anything because I knew it wouldn't be what you were actually thinking but it could easily be taken that way. Honestly i'm pretty cool with getting older at the moment, maybe I'm delusional but I think my best is still in front of me in many areas, in any case I can still see plenty of room for improvement in myself.

candyman: After you called one of your runs the Paul Mac loop I thought maybe the Jurassic loop was named after Jurassic 5....

#  Posted 2006-12-16 04:14:40
Fat Rat: delusional... its called alzheimers mate. as much as i like jurassic 5, I never listen to music running. i realise that doesnt explain why i call Paul Mac loop exactly that though.
