According to the campground hosts there is an annual Halloween celebration at the campground the weekend before Halloween. Complete with costumes. Word is it's well attended. I have no idea what to expect, but please be courteous and respect the campers privacy should your courses take you near or through the campground.
At the moment, long term forecast is for cool but good weather!
does that mean it will be hard to just show up and get a camping space. also, how close do we have to stay to our sites to comply with embargo.
Just showing up in October is always dicey. I expect the campground will fill. As for the embargo, you need to stay put of the woods.
You might check if they hold back any first-come sites. If they do, early Friday might give you a good shot at them.
They have a few. Camping check in starts at 3PM, so if you're there for the sprint, you've got a pretty good shot.
I'll be arriving Thursday. They told me if I check in first come first served on Thursday, I can seal the deal for Friday at that time. If anyone wants to share the site, they are welcome, just let me know so I can provide the right description of number of tents, vehicles etc.
