Congratulations to both of you. Will you still be in Sweden then? I think their parental leave scheme is really generous - good planning!

I'm reminded of one of the better political insults of Australian history, thanks to George Reid, Federation-era NSW Premier (and later briefly Prime Minister), who was, shall we say, well-built. One of his opponents said of his weight "what are you going to call it, George", which drew the response:

"If it's a boy, I shall name it after myself. If it's a girl, I shall name it Victoria, after our Queen. But if, as I suspect, it's nothing more than piss and wind, then I'll name it after you".

(By the way, are you still going to Venice?)

Yep, fly in late tomorrow night to Verona and drive over. What about you?

I was hoping you were going to let this one run Jules but it was getting a bit ridiculous!

I'm getting the train to Milan tomorrow night and then on to Venice on Saturday morning, arriving about 10.40. I guess you won't be doing the Saturday afternoon race (whereas WOC 2014 embargoes aren't of huge concern to me these days).

I enjoyed the email I got from someone on this thread asking if I'd heard the news.....

Now I'm starting to wonder if Rob and Al's new baby is also an elaborately staged prank. :)

We've even gone to the trouble of getting a real baby to keep it going ;)

Have a great time in Venice!
