Hey, will this be in "Big Bone Lick State Park" by any chance? I can see some people wanting to attend just to get a map with that name...

Uh huhuhuhuh. Heh Heh.

Yes it is. They sell T-Shirts.

I've heard that the interstate where the sign announces "Big Bone Lick State Park" has more accidents than other sections, and I've witnessed cars of college students swerving while laughing and trying to take photos of the sign.

They have a small collection of enormous dinosaur bones, and they claim Big Bone Lick is where modern society first had to deal with the concept of species that were extinct.

They also have bison in a large fenced enclosure.

At least part of it will be, according to the OCIN schedule page.

According to Google Maps, the park is at the intersection of Big Bone Rd and Beaver Rd, near the town of Beaverlick. Really.

On a more serious note, will there be any camping in the park? The Kentucky Parks site says camping starts the Monday after the meet.

Camping at Big Bone Lick opens March 1. The campground store does not open until April 1 (That might have been the date dabond saw on the website). 3 or 4 sites are booked beginning April 1, but everything else is open and can be booked online. The rates are $22 on weekdays and $24 on weekends. All sites are wide enough for 2 vehicles.
