1:00 am, PST, slipped on ice on the driveway, now have a bruised and swollen right knee :-(. Anyone else usher in the New Year so unceremoniously?!?

I hope that`s not the knee that I worked so hard to fix dammit!!! What were you doing *walking* on new year's eve anyway? You should have been skiing!

Sorry to hear about that, Brian. I did that when fully loaded with ski gear walking to the train station in Lillehammer some years ago. Landed hard on my hand and thought I'd bruised my wrist. Skied the Vasaloppet course the next day with wrist taped. Found out several years later I'd actually broken a bone in my wrist and didn't know it. It hadn't healed and I had to have surgery, twice. I hope your knee injury is considerably less involved!

P.S. enjoyed your skiing pictures. Nice snow! We're dying for some snow out here.

It's actually quite a bit better today, so doesn't appear to be anything too serious.
