I heard of a Rogaine were the penalty was time late, squared. You start loosing some serious points that way

That maths would be too hard for most of us Novocastrians (except maybe Malcolm Roberts) to figure out.

Yeh I think this double points penalty was introduced because in some high point courses (more than a point a minute) some of the very serious StreetOers would work out it that it could be beneficial to be deliberately late.
