Terry: Hi! You spent a long time in O' shoes today! How was the BBQ? Who was in your car? Who cooked dinner? Whose computer are you using?

ebone: Yes, partly because I didn't change out of the shoes for the BBQ (because I didn't want to bother putting them right back on again, which would also entail touching PO more). The BBQ was yummy. The coals got hot, because of (or in spite of?) the steady stream of lighter fluid that John kept trained on the pyre. I hadn't shopped for food yet, but John and Mikkel took care of my meat needs, with an Italian sausage and a buffalo patty. Ben Legg rode with me, since there were too many of us to fit in the minivan. Ben is good company. He's pursuing a PhD in materials science at Berkeley, and he told me a little about his research. I cooked spaghetti and nuked some frozen broccoli. I'm using John's Mac, with it's big widescreen. He's been very generous with it. Today, we trained at Almaden Quicksilver, which was interesting but felt very rugged, since I'm still sore and broken down after yesterday--whew! Tomorrow, we're heading to Pt. Lobos (I think) for what sounds like a pleasant run overlooking the ocean.
