Any Australian based APer's out there who can offer any suggestions re accommodation for the Easter 3-days?
As a family of 4 with an oversease student accompanying us we are having a hell of a time trying to find anything, and what we do find seems to be coming in at $1200 or more for 4 nights.
Camping isn't an option unfortunately.
Starting to feel a little bit desperate given the event is still 2 months away and accommodation options seem so scarce.

Have you only tried the Stanthorpe area, or Warwick as well? We're in Warwick which is probably almost as central to the competition areas (longer travel times on days 1 and 3, but much closer on day 2). Can't tell you exactly where we are because my parents organised it but I don't think they had too much trouble. I'd also heard on the grapevine that Stanthorpe accommodation was scarce and very expensive.

Thanks for the reply Blair. Hadn't considered Warwick at all. Fluked a reasonably priced option in Stanthorpe yesterday, though self catering will be challenging. Might check out Warwick options though.
