You seem to make mistake almost every month. I think I will have to plan a training for you or you will never learn.

Hmmm...12. It was definitely hung in kind of the right spot on the hill, but there was really not anything I would have mapped as a re-entrant there. I had the same problem with number 4- didn't like the mapping of the hill with the two dot knolls at all.

Also, on the longer course, why did you hang out in the vague re-entrant on the way to number one instead of getting up on the hill tops, which were way clearer? Just being lazy?

@Jagge, please, the more the merrier! What I really need is to run faster so I have less time to think.

@Becks, yes, number 4, I couldn't quite make out which two (or three) bumps were supposed to be the knolls - the geometry was a bit off. And the re-entrant - I'm not sure. The side-slope looked smoother than the bumpy top, so I guess I thought it would be less effort (and shorter distance once I ended up as far north as I did), and I didn't think the control looked particularly tough, famous last words...

And Jagge, I'm sure you would appreciate this: https://picasaweb.google.com/bishopstownoc/IOC2012... - advertised as a map sample for the Irish Champs this year, contour interval 2.5m.

I'm worried for BOC. They've invested a lot, and the way the forum is going, it doesn't augur well. I approve of getting a Lidar base-map made, as a first step towards an excellent map. I think they need to look at how they are amortising the costs (whatever the costs were). I can afford the entry fees, but it's not good if half the kids don't show up because of the price. The club had better get together quickly and respond to the forum soon.
