Ratlaf: I have the same problem with rollers. I'm comfortable enough on them to watch a movie without crashing horribly, but after about 40-50 minutes my entire arm falls asleep. I've tried gloves, different seat and handle bar positions but nothing has worked.

I've since converted my rollers into a stationary trainer which is much more comfortable. I've also mounted a pair of imitation triathlon bars that makes it even more comfortable and allows me to read a book too!

jjcote: I've also got a statioary trainer, and to be honest, it would probably be a better workout, because I could put a load on it, unlike the rollers which is just spinning. But the rollers are more fun. Clip-in tri-bars are an interesting thought, though -- might try that if the pipe insulation doesn't help. But who knows when I'll get on the rollers next.
