Discussion: Smokers?

Who were they? I assume they weren't fellow hashers? (At least I hope not. I realize hashers are known for being enthusiastic drinkers, but I wouldn't expect smokers to be drawn to an activity that involves a fair amount of running.)

Yes, fellow hashers. I had not seen anyone do that until the last year or so, but some critical mass of smokers was reached and now it is not uncommon for 3-4 to light up at a stop. Obnoxious comments by some of us old-timers has had no effect, so we just spread out a little more now.

Oh - and the hares are now typically setting "friendlier" trails that include shortcuts for walkers.

As long as they don't insist on a "puff-puff" from the rest of you.
