Well, lets get them posted here. If you don't have a goal you're just wasting your time. Mine is the Wild Duluth 100k. Ran 13.5 hours two years ago and would like to run 12.5 this year (and not put a hole in my knee).
Twix - Wild Duluth 100K
Muu Muu - Wild Duluth 50K
Frozen Fries - only trains
Zarf - Voyageur 50 mile, JFK 50 mile
Toivo Koski - was the Human Race apparently (kind of silly he doesn't respond - has the most comments on attack point, but what do you do)
Everett Ruess - Duluth mile
JR239 - Colorado Trail Race 500 miles
Ron - Whistlestop marathon
Bonus Lefty - weights & core 4 hour time trial.
Courgar - No word
Kit Kat - JFK 50 mile
spamman - No word
rsbrun - Buffalo Triathlon
Greenmachine715 - Kettle Moraine 100 K (or mile?)
bmay - some canadian race
Kristin Burkholder 5K...
Actually, Wild Duluth 50K.
Glad to hear it is a race and not a training run scheduled with bunt.
I was going to get it down to one, but thanks for the flexibility. I like to have one race per season to aim towards. On another note, I've already checked off my yearly goal of running a race I've never done before (i.e. Mustache March Run). Last year I did the Sidewalk Shuffle on my birthday for my new race.
Who's this Greenmachine715 person? Welcome to the dark side, Keith... Kettle 100K or 100 Mile?
Yes welcome mister Thompson. Been thinking about that one myself.
Colorado trail race. Maybe 1 long running race early in the summer.
Jim, when are you going to do the Voyageur 50?
What is the name of the colorado trail race?
Z- maybe some day
MZ- Official name Colorado Trail Race or CTR. 500 miles of fantastic mountain single track.
Buffalo Tri, Buffalo, MN. The first week in June. This race showed me in 2010 that I had at least 2/3 of what it takes to race with the 50's big guns from the Twin Cities in a quality event. Podium finish in 2010 looking for one again in 2012. I still stink as a swimmer, but the distances to take the time back on the bike and run work good for me at this venue. Plan B -cc-> USATF MN fall series. 2011 learn, 2012 get after it!
I'll go with St Croix as a replacement for Buffalo, 3rd against the same old farts as I would face in June. For six years I never sniffed an awards here 1/3 swim took me out, gained on the swim and bike. Didn't expect it!
I suppose we could include a triathlon. What the hey.
I know Toivo had read this. He reads everything. Why isn't he replying?
Thanks Tom-oh. Since I didn't hear from a few of you I filled in what I wanted.
Whistle Stop Marathon...word! Never did one before.
Nice. Good thing your husband has done one (that is a joke by the way).
You can take the 10-miler out of my big races. My doctor says to stay out of my racing flats, so no speed work. I'll just try to run a lot and get ready for Voyageur.
I'm training for the 2019 Victoria Day 10-Miler. Then I hope to run a decent Grandm's Marathon (my 22nd!)
Biggest 2019 goal is getting the Western States monkey off my back!!
Victoria Day 10 miler - very possible!
Grandma's Marathon - YES!
YAY Leslie!....WESTERN STATES!!
Molly, it would be great for you (and others) to come to Thunder Bay this year. Any other takers?
I had my "Big Race of the Year" yesterday. And, for once, it went really well. Usually my best race of the year happens when I don't expect it.
