| Craig: | We are thinking of going down to McGillivray on Thursday night. The physio recommended running on grass for me and Rachel is keen to do some 1k repeats to get used to race pace again. Glad to hear the track is in good nick.
Did you stay ahead of Saz and Wil? |

| Tooms: | I did actually, Saz knocked 8s of her time, down to 8.14, Wil forgot his shoes and didn't front up! We are doing 1ks there on Friday evening at 6pm - it's virtually deserted Fridays. Believe it or not they have already started footy training, and there are no posts even up yet!! |

| Craig: | We were going to go Thursday because Rachel is going to be in Nedlands for a massage. Friday would be more difficult but it would be nice to have some company. I would have expected Rachel to run under 8 and Saz thrashed her in the triathlon run so I thought she would have been down near 7. Maybe the track is slow and you are all running better than you think. |

| fletch: | I'm not Craig, so I'll tell you about how hard to run Tooms. If the first one hurts like hell (when doing more than one) you're in trouble, but you should be working hard enough that you don't think you could possibly hold the pace for the whole session. If you're just doing one I reckon it should be feeling pretty bad by 500m in... |

| Tooms: | Yeah, I also thought that Saz ought to be capable of 10-15s faster given her race speed and 5k TT times - but it's been a steady progression over 2k nonetheless. I don't think the track is slow - but I know I am slow! And I flew past her at the 1600m mark at a distinctly quicker pace. Steve, I think you're right - i wasn't feeling pretty bad at 500m, I saved that for the 1400m mark. I think I'll go quicker again in a couple of weeks just by being a bit more aggressive off the mark. |
