photos are here

The flag of CP 6 wasn't out yet when i got there. I saw the green truck with the windows open, and got suspicious. Looking in the back, saw the water jugs. I lifted a blanket, and MAGIC !! the CP6 flag appeared (photo).

I put it up on the gate (photo). I talked later after finish to the staff that was putting up controls, he was out putting CP 7. He didn't expect folks to show up so early. The young guy with the second most points, he passed me and was ahead of me on its way to CP6. He told me at finish that he didn't find it (of course, it was under a blanket in the back of a truck). Credit him the points.

GPS track sort of confirms my suspicion that CP21 was placed a bit more south than indicated on the map. Many people had trouble finding it, and abandoned. If you see my GPS track, I was on the straight way to the CP, but then met some folks up the slope that said they have been looking for it for ages, so I got cold feet, and went North so I could attack it from closer to the highway, thus making sure I wasn't missing it. Once up on the flat top, went south. I could not find it, so I decided to abandon, and continue South to another CP, but then, lucky me, bumped into it, right when I gave up on it.

GPS track also indicates that CP9 was higher in altitude, and more to the North than indicated on the map.
