Discussion: WCOC and COC update - next regis deadline July 15

Here’s an update from the 2012 Western Canadian and Canadian Orienteering Championships organizers…

The WCOC/COC organizing gang had some land access issues and had to shuffle around the locations of the Western Canadian events. The next registration deadline has been changed from June 30 to July 15, so still a few weeks to register before the prices go up.

Here is the latest event schedule:
>Sat Aug 11 WCOC middle – Elbow Bluffs 10am first start (parking & shuttle bus from Banded Peak West Bragg Creek 9am)
>Sat Aug 11 WCOC sprint – Fish Creek Park Calgary (SE) – 5pm start
>Sat Aug 11 banquet – Southeast Calgary – 8pm
>Sun Aug 12 WCOC long - Rumsey (permission not finalized- estimated a 11am start) Rumsey is located approximately 2 hours north east of Calgary
>Mon Aug 13 WCOC Relay – Edmonton – 6:30 pm start
>Thurs Aug 16 HPP Fund Raiser & COF AGM – Edmonton
>Fri Aug 17 COC model – Jackpine 11am – 3pm
>Fri Aug 17 COC Sprint –Jackpine – 5pm start
>Sat Aug 18 COC Middle – Jackpine – 11 am start
>Sat Aug 18 Banquet and silent auction – Entwistle - doors open at 5:00, meal at 6:30 (Please consider donating an item to the silent auction)
>Sun Aug 19 COC Long – Jackpine – 10am start
