From open rangeland dotted with knolls and depressions to thick woods featuring quite detailed contours the Edmonton club produced challenges for all of us. However what pleased me most was to see the highly competitive M and F 17-20 classes. Congrats to the Canadian High Performance Program on getting to these stars and getting them to the championships. I'm sure their parents and clubs helped a lot, too. Gone are the days when the girl who won 17-20 was the one who showed up and the three boys entered shared the medals.
I understand many of these young athletes will be making the trip all the way from the Yukon to compete at the NAOC.
