Swampfox:
Walking around town this morning, there is a vibe in the air of something special. Dogs that usually sleep the day away have their ears cocked, one eye opening and shutting, double checking the scene. Aspens are showing their color early, far too early. Dragonflies flit in Brownian pattern, not sure whether to head east or west. Cows see something waving in the gentle mountain breezes. Is it orange, is it white? They can not be sure. And down on main street, the doors of a tax deductible charitable organization are already closed for the day, and the multi-hued colors of the pair of INOV8 Talons that usually sit outside have disappeared. The sheriff at his morning meeting with the deputies is saying: "I don't know, it just don't feel right to me."

"But something is happening here
And you don't know what it is
Do you, Mister Jones ?"

But some people know what is going on: the Daze of time are nearly at hand!

This year's Rocky Mountain Goat--the Daze finale--has 75 runners signed up, making it the largest Rocky Mountain Goat ever by far. Maybe it will be the largest Goat ever west of the Eastern Continental Divide? Hard to know for sure how large some of the western based Goats have been. It will be large enough for some peppery competition at any rate. Spare the Taco Bell hot sauce, and roll out a vat of inferno instead, it's going to be a race!
