There's a whole community of people who are real experts at StepMania on the keyboard. They work on getting those ridiculously difficult ones done with all perfects. I can see that it would be fun, in much the same way that minesweeper or bubble trouble would be fun... but really, you can't annoy your neighbors with just the keyboard. And I bet you'd burn a few less calories. ;-)

I also just found the "Test Inputs" mode at the bottom of the Options menu, which means I didn't really need to download a song after all.

I also have one I was going to send to you. But then I was afraid I had ticked you off with that brass-knuckles posting a while back...! Also, I gave it a rudimentary try with its existing wiring and I felt totally clueless (video game generation gap?). Lastly, our 61-day span of snow has finally ended, so it's possible to actually exercise outdoors again...so maybe I won't need this gizmo after all. But it sure sounds like fun.

Oh, the brass-knuckles thing didn't bother me at all (I was ROTFLMAO -- or something -- did I spell that right?). Feel free to send the pad, the modification is a cinch for me. There will always be inclement days in the future when you'll be Jonesing for some DDR. And you can get Troy to try it and post a video on YouTube. Do you have my mailing address?

After trying it a few times, I got it to say "Cleared" instead of "Failed".

With the keyboard.

And the sound turned off.

We'll have to have two DDR tournaments - one for "Cristina-style", and one for "J-J style".

Well, after having achieved this milestone, I'm retiring from the keyboard event.
