How was it ? Worth the trip from Yallingup ?
I've got half a day free and I'm tempted to rent a bike and go.

WHAT are you doing in Yallingup? yes definitely worth it - even just the drive down caves road is worth it (you'd go that way). also the Dunsborough bike shed rents mtb bikes (nothing special but would do you) for $25 rather than the $100 that the margaret river charges. so it's good to go from around there.

when are you going - will you see whales?

Going week after next, Monday-Thursday with work. Will get at least one afternoon off to do my own thing.

ok. there's also a fun area just near dunsborough called brown street. the guys in the Bike Shed there built (so they could point you in the right direction if you have less than 1/2 a day) so if you don't have long you could ride there but you'd have to love rock obstacles to enjoy it. I liked it - twists and turns and little ups and stuff, but clare hated it.

I might drag someone along with me, so if The Pines is smooth, maybe I'd better shoot for that.

Thanks.

Brown Street was both treacherous and boring - a non-winning combination in my view.

:) yep - clare looooved it!

The pines is smooth and fun - there's probably just one trail to avoid if you've got a less experienced person, I think it's called Rock and Root or something.
