I have been looking at the various event listings for an off-road tri. I thought you might be able to track one down with your tri connections. I definitely think we should do a tri training night at Wirth--laps, bike, run if nothing else.

Keep your eye out for a used wetsuit for me as well. My guess is there might be a tri website I should check out.

seems like off road tris are pretty rare. How about a regular tri ... Manitou Sprint anyone ?

O Steve!:
...how about using your rowing muscles and do the Tri Loppet on 6/23...(I assume that paddling a canoe is abhorrant to a rower but.....) paddle, trail run, mt bike...Wirth park..close by...do the event and limit time away from the family...Kari and I did it last year...so did Justin and Molly...very fun course!....you paddle together and then split up for the rest...http://www.tri-loppet.com/

Yeah, we are thinking about the Tri-loppet. Last year it conflicted with something, I can't remember what. Rowers don't have anything against paddling, and besides I haven't rowed seriously in a few years...just coaching.

They're offering some flexible categories as well - you can do it solo, double, or relay. Looks like a possibility.
