The Florida Orienteering Championships and the 2012 Bubba Goat are now history recorded on the Florida Orienteering website. Thanks to Nick Barrable and Sarah-Jane Gaffney of Great Britain we were able to see orienteering done at a higher level, a great eye-opener for the 105 high school cadets who made up about half the field.
Event reports and results are available at the FLO website Click on the Results tab on the left hand bar.
While you are there, look at the FLO calendar for this coming January. We have a barebones-type orienteering carnival which will include at least 3 B-events, one night ‘O’ on a university campus and a short Rogaine/ long Score-‘O’.

And for those who like the puzzling aspect of orienteering maps try this , a jig saw puzzle of the Bubba Goat preliminary course.

Gord: would you post (or link to) the blue course map (as shown in slide show) so it can be seen clearly?

bl: Thanks for the comment. For a couple of reasons I cannot post the maps but I can send jpeg copies to any who ask.
