Hey all,

I'm using OE2003 to run a SportIdent O event this weekend, and I am forever getting an error message because I don't have the "IOF symbols font" installed on my system. I've searching all over the internet and the SportIdent webpage for this font, but can't find it. Does anyone know where I could get my hands on it? Thanks

@cedarcreek Thanks for the font, but unfortunately it didn't seem to make any difference. Anyone else have this error message?

Excuse me for a dumb question by why would you need any particular font to run Sport Ident?

That is a really good question. But two things: The software is by SportSoftware, not SportIdent. And---You get an error message if you don't have it. I haven't seen it in years and years, but I can't remember what I did to get rid of it.

A search of my old mail came up with this:
installing (copying) the fonts to the Control Panel/Fonts folder does seem to fix the problem

Right click on the font, Select Properties, Select Advanced, and unclick the box which says "Font is ready for archiving"

Adapt to current operating system. :)

Michael, please get back to work creating the NZ MTBO A/NZ Challenge webpage.

Thanks

Hey all, I finally got my hands on the font you need to make the error message go away. I just had to install the "SKIOFSym" font AKA "Sport Software IOF Symbols" and now OE2003 works perfectly with no errors. If anyone else needs this, please let me know. Luckily someone else at our club had a copy
