Justin, sorry to hear about the Shamrock race, but you made a very wise decision. You will recover faster, heal faster and come back strong. Yeah, the USATF 100km-- my thoughts are... lack of depth in participation to help push yourself, 10 laps...blagh, even my friend Chris Lundstrom said he was so sick of running slow at Bandera, plus I do not miss being physically laid up for months on end. Yes, and the money factor. I only get three personal days a year, so I would have to string together all of them at once if I made the team and basically red-eye the flight there, pulverize myself for 100km, then fly back and also drop easily over 1,500$ out of pocket. Some things just are not worth it.
