Discussion: Garmin Uploader

I had a problem last night where I couldn't upload from my garmin using chrome on my desktop pc, I had the same problem AliC just wrote about, which prompted me to write this... not just me!

I managed to get it to work on my laptop, using chrome, after installing the garmin software fresh. I guess it could be a matter of upgrading the software but given I'm not the only person perhaps there is something else going on. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes, sorry. If your plugin version is older than 3.0, you'll need to update it (here). There should be a more helpful error message appearing now for those of you affected by this.

Heh, I thought my old PC was just screwing up, so I gave up for the evening, but this morning the helpful error message was there and now all is good.

My plug-in version is up to date but the issue I have is that it will freeze during the transfer. My solution is to delete everything older than one month from my Garmin. Then it seems to work. I have a 305 and it is coming up 6 yrs old, and this has been an issue for a couple of years but I assumed it is a problem with my watch.

I also deleted things older than one month and it started working a lot better again (also have an old 305).
