The deadline for standard registration for the U.S. S/M/L Champs / Team Trials / Trail O Champs is fast approaching! Deadline has been extended to midnight PDT Tuesday the 16th for those of you just too busy getting your U.S. tax returns ready to even think about registering for the event, but we want you to come!

Of course you can still register after the 16th, but late fees will apply.

See who's registered

Information link (Be aware of travel time to start for each day!!!)

Almost 120 people are signed up for the Dinner Cruise which has a limit of 160, so don't delay if you want to be part of the social event!

T-shirt details are posted; if you registered early (thank you!) before T-shirt info was ready, please e-mail me to add your order to your registration; you can pay at packet pickup.

Enter by midnight (faraway western time) Tuesday April 16 to avoid the late fee (and make the registrar and organizers happy). Thanks!

If you've registered, check the list of registered runners to see whether you have a checkmark next to your name as "confirmed." If you don't, that means I have not received your payment, and will add a late fee if not received by our registration close on April 27 (excluding non-US participants).

Anyone who is NOT a member of Orienteering USA will sign an extra waiver at check in. Any parent/guardian of a child who lives in New York will need to sign a paper waiver for that child at check in to be compliance with New York state laws.

Huh?!? Where did this come from? (asking as the president of an O-club that conducts events in NY)

Last time we had our A meet, I noted that New York requires a paper waiver signed by the parent/guardian. Most folks "signed" virtually for their kids.

Does there need to be a signed waiver presented at check-in? If so, that seems reasonable.

Or does it mean that a parent must sign the waiver AT check-in? If so, that would be a definite problem when a child travels to a meet with another family and with neither of his parents present.

Pretty sure it's just a signed paper waiver for participants under 18 years old. And it may be more than just NY residents; I'll check.

Something to do with how NY accepts online waivers (or not).

According to whom...? (lawyer, ESC official,...?)

Is this a different form or just a paper version of the form we have online? If the latter, and it does not need to be signed AT check-in, parents/gurdians could print, sign and bring it. Or they could print the e-signed waiver, then hand-sign it and bring it.
