Every now and then it is good to get an outsiders perspective on your sport. This is a report by a couple of skiers on an elite racing team in Ottawa after they attended a local OOC event at Camp Fortune.

By the way, OOC member and Laurentians hardman Benoit Letourneau (pictured at the end) was on Canada's national ski team in the 90s.

A pretty good write-up of what orienteering would look like to an outsider - and on a positive note.

Yes, both Riel Alain and Steffan Loyd are excellent skiers and have gotten really into orienteering. They come out to most of our events and have become reasonable orienteers. It's cool to see strong athletes from other sports really enjoying it!

Also, potential to become better than reasonable Orienteers for OOC. O-Fest?
