| Dog Runner: | I want a spreadsheet with time break downs for this weekends race. Does it keep track of elevation too? |

| hansel: | Leannimal - I'm gonna crush you into the ground this weekend. You wanna know why? Cause there's no compass involved. How do you like them apples smart guy?! Put that in your spreadsheet and smoke it! Muahaha!
Uh...this course is gonna be marked right? |

| Dog Runner: | Watch out Hansel. I actually got off course in a 5 peaks race a couple years ago. A huge group of us did an extra 3 or 4 km loop. Quite embarrassing... |

| Leanimal: | Yeah well maybe that happens to you speedy folks but not me.. I have plenty of time to look at signs and trees, and animals that don't move when I go by because my speed doesn't scare them.
Unfortunately the course is marked and no compass is required but it still wouldn't surprise me Hansel if you went the wrong way...he he! |

| Bash: | 'Bent made a nav error in the only 5 Peaks race that we've done! Sometimes the course marking can be a bit subtle, e.g. when you're turning off double track onto single track, and you might be focusing on the person ahead who made the same error. Also, in Albion Hills, the mountain bike race courses have occasionally been sabotaged by hikers taking down course markings because they don't like sharing their conservation area.
BTW, the ForeRunner measures instantaneous speed, elevation, distance, pace (min/km) and grade %. But I will probably be too embarrassed to make that information public! |

| 'Bent: | Hey Hansel, don't underestimate the ability of guys to get lost. If I can do it...
Besides, aren't you going to be towing me? |

| Bash: | "If I can do it..."?? Um, haven't I heard some stories indicating that you *can*? |

| 'Bent: | Maybe that didn't come out right. Guys can get lost, especially those who are middling navigators and tend to get more caught up in running fast than running in the correct direction. That would be yours truly.

| Bash: | But not Hansel, of course. |

| 'Bent: | Unless he's tied to me. |
