I think quite open, but certainly rocky and uneven underfoot. The newly logged areas on state forest land will turn to doghair, I suppose.

Doghair? Cute expression. Not seen that around here.

Do you have the lidars? We get them from the uconn magic site but need some manipulation to convert them to something useful. And do you have ocad?

'Doghair' is a Pacific Northwest term for impenetrable sapling growth (typically needle-leaved trees there). I'm not really sure what pops up here after clearing.
I'm going to attempt my little start-of-a-map in GIS, to enhance my GIS skills. So far, I've just downloaded the topo off some CT website (I don't remember any magic), but haven't even figured out how to open it on my office machine. Skill level very low. Lidar's probably a dream for me. No ocad yet.

This is the site that has been aggregating maps of the state in recent years. It includes historic maps as well. It has been getting better. I'm not sure what the current info is.
