There's been a lot of talk lately about how clubs spend a lot of time and effort to put on 7-course meets at the local level, for very little return in their investment. Instead of a full-blown meet, why not try a low-key training event, that helps people become better orienteers, while providing a fun environment without stressing the organizers?
The answer to this question is CSU's fall training series at Lynn Woods. Despite starting at the same location every time, the courses promise to be different, interesting, and challenging each time. There will be a beginner and an advanced course each week, all drawn from the same 100 or so controls. This is the perfect opportunity to improve your orienteering skills in a directed and focused manner!
So show up on Saturday to learn some new skills, hone the old skills, and take away some techniques you can apply in your next important meet! (like the following day's NEOC meet). See you there!
