For all of you sitting at home tomorrow and not out at the 2013 Australian Schools Individual Champs, there should be some procrastination options from whatever your doing tomorrow. Barring technical difficulties the results will be going live to
o-lynxlive.com . First start is at 10am AEST. There is a slight possibility that there will be a audio feed as well, but I have yet been able to see what output I can get from the PA system. So if it is going to happen the link will be put up in the morning.
Awesome. that should help me waste away some holidays instead of renovating. Go WA!
That was what all the local practice was about!
Is it working? All I can get to is Bendigo Bush Classic 13
Results can only be updated once we get finishes? I think thats how it going to work, but as Toph isn't here to tell us, I'm guessing
No results will come in anytime everything on-site is setup. Toph has taken on a lot to try and get this running so patience is probably required. There are a lot of things that can go wrong with reception and networking issues to the event computer.
Its gone live! Nice work Toph ;)
Cool. I've at least got the right event on the screen now.
And we are away. Well done Toph.
Yes! I can see results too!
Neither can Bruce on his work computer, he is using his phone
You will need Java enabled to see the live results.
I can hear the commentary as well!
Very windy conditions through out Southern Australia overnight and into this morning
Oh well, no Java on the work computer and I'm not allowed to install stuff.
No live results here, but I can hear the commentary.
Is that Toph channeling Per Forsberg ... ' that's for sure'!
Yup, I need to get a life.
bit of a mess as just a copy paste from the results xml but for those who cant get the results ....

I hear our club tent is destroyed by the wind... that's for sure...
but well done all the same Toph.
Windy it certainly was - 104 km/h at Braidwood which is the nearest site. The screen went flying right at the end (but is surprisingly intact). Now back at the office collating lots of other weather records....
I'm glad it was only the tent that got smashed.. as Blair said one gust came through and flipped the table that had my screen and laptop on, they went about 3 metres so that was interesting. Both came out fine just had a bit of dirt on them.
Apologies if the audio was a bit average, it was pretty windy. That didn't help but I think I might be able to make it better next time. The audio wouldn't have happened without Bill Jones, some how he heard on the grape vine that I wanted to run audio. So he brought his box of tricks to connect the audio.
Thanks also to those that did random small jobs for me or offered to help me. And also the bunch of people that ran to the rescue when the computer was all over the ground.
And thanks Phillip Herries, creator of o-lynx. He is always happy to help where he can, answers questions when asks and more importantly warns you of problems the you might come across from his experience, which always helps cause without a heads up yesterday about a problem that can occur, I probably would have been scratching my head out there today trying to get the internet to connect properly.
No. Sorry, could only use the resources for one day. From what I have heard from another club member is Victoria won
I think that was on the cards judging from day 1 results. Southern Cross?
NZ, easily (54 to 47 for Victoria). State points: Vic 46, Tas 40, Qld 36, other final scores hanging on teams which were still to finish when I left but order will be ACT 4th, NSW 5th, SA 6th, WA 7th.
NZ should be north and south island!
How did our massive team only finish in last place?
Both relay teams MP... as well as not having senior teams.
Log: I've suggested that around here too.
Keep suggesting. Something needs to be done to make the competition less predictable.
I thought that was obvious from my post, Fletch.
Allowing carbon-fibre stilts seems to make the racing fairly unpredictable..
