Craig: You seem to be doing core stability stuff that works your glutes pretty much every day. Maybe you should give them a rest and focus on stetching instead sometimes.

heyU: I suspect it's the terrain running. It seems to be much harder on the glutes than the core stability work (which I've been doing for about 2 years now)
Already stretch twice a day (everyday), I just don't log it :-)

Craig: Do you try to think about using use your glutes to keep your hips level when running? I ask because I remember when I had hip bursitis problems years ago I did lots of strengthening exercises and tried to use my glutes to keep my hips level when running but I kept feeling stiff and sore around my hip. Eventually I realised the bursa was feeling ok and it was just the glutes and TFL complaining. I decided to stop worrying about keeping my hips level and within a day or two I was feeling fine.
