That was good re-running the course. Ruddalen on first look seems like a straight forward city forest with plenty of tracks, but in reality it can throw up plenty of challenges. I lived on this area for about 6 years but could still make mistakes or go off line. You took some really good lines on this re-run and coped with this style of 'o', which takes time getting used to. When you have the possibilty its really good to rerun or even plan a new course in an area where you feel you've struggled. When you get your confidence knocked its important to take this type of constructive approach so you keep on adding to your bank and turning weaknesses to strengths mentally and technically.

How's life otherwise? I've had my usual Autumn set of colds and work is a bit hectic so I'm just lying low for a while. Hopefully can see you and Doug soon for a run and a chat

Yeah it's quite busy with details in Ruddalen and the paths can be really confusing on the map they all look the same size but in reality they're not. The area might be easier now as it there is getting to be less and less vegetation to reduce visibility. It is nice to get confidence from rerunning it the idea is to get the feel of orienteering fast so I can mimic it on courses I haven't run before.

Things are going a mixture of ways in life! As you can tell I hadn't uploaded training or been on attack point in a while been busy, have/had an ear infection and also working on the job search. Ah yes the autumn cold I bet you're a lot more susceptible with small kids in school too. I hope you can kick it soon and yup would be great to catch up for run and chat soon.
