Tooms: Brand new in Feb-March I think. Container from Sth Africa via Dean Gardiner's distribution network. I love the speed!!!

Tooms: Nope. Experience has taught many a West Australian never to fly with anything that is easily broken! (Bikes are ok massively bubblewrapped and in nice big strong boxes). Boats and baggage handlers do not mix well - just ask the rowers and clubbies! They use the road. I'll paddle anything at Forster - I think Big Tom has lined-up an XT for me, but not boat for Jen yet.

Actually, I had a carbon fibre bike frame cracked between Chicago and Perth courtesy of United. And that was packed professionally. They must have driven the bloody plane over the box! Fotrtunately there is a frame builder in Perth who repaired it for me.
