ken: I couldn't help but notice that you're running faster than me these days.

feet: On a completely different topic: biggins, do you have suggestions about what to do with 10 hours to kill between flights at LAX? I'm passing through on (Monday) June 11, arriving 12:30pm and departing 10:30pm. Any suggestions of places to run for an hour or a bit more? (I'm even thinking of being cultural and ambitious by renting a car and going to the Getty Villa in the hotter part of the afternoon, so I'd kind of be in the Santa Monica area anyway, and I'd have transport.) I've been through LAX many times but I've never really left the airport area.

Oh, and yeah, just to keep this on topic, what's up with the running faster than Ken? How much lighter are you since the wrestling era?

biggins: yea whats up with that. its probably because your training log activity colors are so boring. less gray = more fast.

feet for a run I'd suggest going here (parking by the red blob on the white road), then running east up the concrete drainage to the ridgeline, then north on the fireroad up the ridge for as far as you want to go. I think its called the Temescal Ridge Trailhead. Other than that just search around for mtb trails, all the fireroads are runnable around here. Malibu Canyon is nice if you'll be that far out already. Topanga Canyon SP is good too (we have an O map, but don't expect much). I'll probably be around after work if you need a place to crash or shower before flying out again, I live around 10 and 405.

I've gotten a little lighter since the peak of wrestling, about 230 now vs almost 260 at the end of sr year season. But I lost most of that right away after I stopped training so much.
