I'm quite new into map making and am trying to make a sprint map using the videos and techniques from the recent Open Orienteering Mapper discussion. I'm running into a problem with the National Map Viewer giving me the wrong area of imagery. For example, I select my urban setting and it sends me 1m jp2 imagery for a piece of land a couple miles to the north.

There's no contours in the Central Valley and at NAS Lemoore, CA, so I'm just trying to get geo-referenced imagery for an Open Orienteering map. Any suggestions or comments?

***After increasing my search volume, it appears the NMV doesn't want me to have the data for a US Military installation. That's most unfortunate and will make this map a bit harder to make***

Whatever imagery hasn't been blurbed out for security purposes, you can get georeferenced with SAS.Planet. Select your area, do "Download", then "Stitch", save as .png with .w, then process in GDAL to change the projection to UTM while retaining georeferencing.
