Discussion: small crowd

Smaller crowd than usual at the BOC event. Guess the storm put people off. Where was Swedesport? Did you get a GoPro for Christmas? Looking forward to seeing some running action in 2014.

Firstly, ya small crowd, all the marshes became uncrossable but that wasnt stopping us hardy folk from the country :-) Swedesport was offered a lift out with us and then back to the fota run but had family commitments so was just going to do fota. Ya i got a GoPro from Santa, trying to crack it at the moment, was hoping to get some good footage with the mass start etc today. Next time we run the Galtees i might bring it aswell

Ah the Galtees have been looking well the last few days...some days you could see the whole range clearly (from the comfort of my parents' sitting room) and there was a sprinkling of snow on the higher peaks. In 2014 it's West to East. Doubt if I'll squeeze in another East to West before the year is out! Two crossings in one year wasn't too bad.

Ive the first GoPro footage sorted, just have to upload it online (which will take a while) and you can have a look see. West to East sounds good, nice easy climb up temple hill to kick things off

Easy peasy. In fact once that's out of the way there really isn't that much serious climb left on the course. Perhaps up to Lyracappul. Well find out at some point in 2014 no doubt.
