Barebones 2014
March 14-16, Canmore
For the first time ever, Barebones will be held on snow! There will be three ski orienteering races, including a Sprint, a THOMASS, and a one-person relay.
Friday evening: Sprint Orienteering
Saturday morning: THOMASS - mass start race, with everyone on the same course and handicapping based on age/gender/experience
Sunday morning: Farsta, one-person relay. More head to head racing in this three-loop forked relay.

The Barebones Complainers fee remains unchanged this year at $25 ;-)

So far, yes, it is skiing only. There is no snowshoe allowed at the Nordic Centre. We are working on them to see if they can relax the rule for Barebones and then eliminate it entirely for next year and create a network of snowshoe trails that criss cross (in complete harmony) with the ski tracks. On the other hand - there are handicaps for inexperienced skiers ;-)
