| blairtrewin: | Did you do the 1996 Victorian Blodslitet? (it had a very decent national elite field but I can't remember whether you were in it). The last loop started with a 5km first leg - I got 2 minutes on Grant over it but he ran me down coming into the last control. |

| robw: | I was expecting this comment to be about that long first leg at inverary back in the early 90's. I dont remember the long leg from blodslitet so well although i did run it, the main thing i remember was how stuffed i was on the drive home. |

| blairtrewin: | I don't think any individual leg at Inverary was as long as that, but it was the combination of them - I think our course had about 2.5k from the start to 1, 3-3.5 from 2 to 3, and another close to 3 later on. There was one course (something like Red 3) which had 7 controls in 9.5k and 3 of them were in the last 800 metres. |

| mouse136: | yeah as Blair described it. Inverary in 1991 M16 had a 6km course with 5 controls and 2 were within 300m of the finish. |
