Grandpa Jameson:
are you making these up as go or do you have them planned out?

what's up for you on the racing front this year?

I usually do quality of some sort on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday (min. once a week) in the form of hill climbs, tempo or intervals. Found the 30 sec on, 30 sec on as part of this challenge (dude at work turned me on to it and wanted to know what I could do):

Main races this year: Zion 100, Hardrock (1st on wait list currently), Run Rabbit Run 100, and Grindstone 100

We're getting a huge snow dump right now, so, I'm postponing long run to treadmill on Saturday night and hitting Mt. Bachelor (our local ski mtn) to Telemark Ski tomorrow in some deep powder. Stoked.

How about you? Race or adventure plans this year?

Grandpa Jameson:
good stuff dude... you guys have been getting killer snow. We've basically had an early summer down here!

for me i'm slowly building into the year. my season was wrecked last year by getting hit by a car on my bike and after trying comeback to quick I just decided to start from scratch in January. I'm going to mostly race local (socal) while getting back in shape. so...

orfilamme 50k - 4/5
pct 50 milet - 5/10
tahoe rim trail 100 miler - 7/19 (first hundred)

that's pretty much all the ultra racing i have planned or really want to do at this point. I'll probably jump into some shorter stuff an some mtb racing... and probably hit the grand canyon this spring.

Have fun. We've had 3 feet of snow in the last 7 days and 13 inches in last 24 hrs. Mtn is supposed to get 16-20 more tonight and 6-10 inches more tomorrow during the day. Today was EPIC. So much powder! Rod Bein and I charged today, both got hall pass from wives. Awesome day.

Good luck this year, especially with Tahoe. Cheers.
