the 150 max capacity dictated by the permit issued by DCNR (Pennsylvania dept of conservation and natural resources), mostly due to the limited parking, has been reached.

While the registrar was away for a few days, an excess of 15 more registrations came in, and those are getting notified now that they are not registered. (bummer)

Don't have the final list of names, but from last time I saw it, there was a diverse field of geographical regions: Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, northern New York. It's gonna be a great crowd.

A big bulk of participants is from the local adventure racing group called Grass Roots Racing, whose organizers nominated this event as good for points for their series.

... and some folks, like the ones from Ohio that email me the day before with a message "what's for dinner", routinely just come for the freshly-cooked food we serve at event's end.

Until then, stay warm (and don't listen to Phil the groundhog, listen to the Raccoon).
