That sucks man, looks like you were going really well until the fall. Did you get splits for the second half when you had your mum's SI? I'd be interested in the time going straight to #11.
Unlucky Lachy - hope you can take something from that great start you got.
yeah I guess I just have to take the first 5 controls as it is.
Simon my time on the long'n' was 15:35
I went pretty damn straight and got it clean, but got a bit stuck in that steep second gully travelling East, coulda saved about 30 seconds at most.
So, slower than the track, but not by as much as I thought it might have been, maybe a minute or so? Would have needed to be very strong to pull the straight option off, though - even without considering the roughness of the terrain, it means committing to at least 100-125 metres extra climb.
(Edit: have just looked at Jimbo's map and he also went direct, with a split about 3 minutes slower than mine; I think we're running at fairly similar speeds at the moment).
it might have been possible to get within a minute of Simon's time at my current form with a bit of tweaking i'd say. I don't have my splits around i just remember that one (youll have to ask Wendy for the rest of them ;) ) but what might be more telling is my split to #12, i was a bit tired...
We had the same leg, going straight wasn't too different again, 15.18 for me going straight to Brodie's 14.40 something going on the track option
Lachlan, I can't believe you held up your mum and mugged her for her SI stick! But bonus points for quick thinking :)
Haha yes, I did feel a pang of guilt Jenny.
Although I did win the finish split for her!

Found the splits printout from mum's SI as well.
for #11 did 15:09 and for #12 did 3:47
Not quite mugging one's mother for her SI stick, but I did almost accidentally flatten my father on the downhill out of 20.
