Discussion: Stirrup Glen date change

I voted YES, coz I really want to run that one.
but I think its the weekend of war trail.

Whats the official ruling of date changes?

Date changes are generally highly discouraged. People make plans for the other weekends during the year. I was actually asked by the race organiser to recommend a date and I chose that one as there was no conflict with O' and other major sports events. It's a bit of a toss up with loosing numbers... what they gain from juniors and families, they might loose with adventure racers (me, Liz, Lisa, Sam, as well as less regular orienteers).

Its probably the fairest to leave it. We shouldn't get any special treatment.

There'd be plenty of people pitching up on the wrong day. We've done that, before the days of internet and email. Drove to Ethol Gray Park and then drove around looking for the start!
