Alta is my favorite. Lots of great skiing , some great black runs and no snowboarders. I envy you .

Everytime I go to Alta I think "all of the terrain in the Wasatch is great, I'm sure it will be similar to previous days" and then I get to Alta and remember, it is king.

It was certainly the best day of the week on this trip.

The xc skiing is in the adjacent canyon. Alta and snowbird are in little cottonwood canyon. The solitude nordic center, which is excellent, is in Big cottonwood canyon. Fantastic area.
