We hope everyone enjoyed the MD Classic event last weekend. I would like to acknowledge several individuals for the contributions they made to making the event a success.

First, the mapper for both days - Marian Cotirta. These are the first maps that Marian has produced in the US. He spent several months here last fall away from family and friends and did a fine job. We will feature more of his work at future A-events.

Next, the event director - Roger Hartley. This was Roger's first stint as an A-event Director. With help from his wife Andrea, he managed countless details and logistics and kept everything on track.

Finally, our course consultant for both days, Boris Granovskiy. I think Clem will echo my praise for his assistance with the courses. He made many suggestions for improvements while still letting the course setters own the process. If anyone ever needs a course consultant, he has my highest recommendation.

Any other comments people have on the event are welcome. We should have Route Gadget up soon to allow you to post your routes.

For record-keeping purposes, would someone please confirm who the Intercollegiate champions were? Though not specified in the results list, I figure McKenzie Hudgins and Zach Schroeder for the Individual IC Champions, and USMAOC Varisty 1 for the Team. Were there any Club Intercollegiate teams (besides West Point)?

Yes, that is correct, Janet. Though, no club teams were awarded because you can't be both anymore.

Even more strict, you can't be a club team if you could quailify as a school team. Same with Interscholastics...
